About
Hello! I’m Denise and I’m so happy that you took the time to visit my site! I was a real estate appraiser for 18 years and I chose to retire from the business after the downturn in the economy turned a career I had loved for so long into a depressing way to spend my days. Even though the market was tanking and work was no longer plentiful, I was lucky enough to have loyal clients who still sent work my way, but all of a sudden the jobs were for foreclosure or bankruptcy purposes and homeowners were no longer happy to see me like they were when they were selling their house or borrowing against it to buy a boat or pay for college.
In the meanwhile, I have four year old BBGG quadruplets and a five year old son who were definitely sensing the tension in the house so we made the life altering decision to close the appraisal business and focus on my sewing books and pattern design, which had previously been mostly a hobby I enjoyed in my “spare” time
I love sewing and creating and am truly enjoying expanding the business, but this change in our life paths also put a huge dent in our budget so we quickly had to look for ways to keep our family of seven fed!
Although I’ve always been a coupon clipper, I had never been an extreme couponer, and never truly understood what you can do with a little planning. I searched the web for the best resources and learning tools and was amazed at how much better I could do on our weekly shopping trips! Right off the bat I was able to save 40-50% – well that got me hooked so I began seeking out all the information I could find and I was amazed by two things – the willingness of other people just like me to share all the amazing savings information, and how time consuming it could be to go to each and every niche website to put together my shopping trips.
Now I’m consistently saving 70-90% on our grocery and drugstore bills thanks to the many wonderful bloggers out there that are doing a great job of putting out the matchups, coupon deals, freebies and rebates. The only problem is that it can be difficult to figure out which ones will apply to your local area, and many of these sites don’t get good search engine rankings simply because they DO contain so many links. That is why I’ve made it my goal to put all of these excellent resources together so that you can more easily find all of the many ways that you can save money so you’ll NEVER PAY FULL PRICE when you don’t have to!
Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you’d like to submit a link for inclusion on this site, if you have any questions or if I can help you in any way!

Great site. I just added to my favorites. If I may add one suggestion… please add ad abreviations key for the not so techie people. I am struggling to understand many of the abreiviations. I will be checking in often!
Thanks so much for visiting J.D.! There are SO many abbreviations and they can be very confusing. I do have a list in the sidebar but they must be hiding too far down – I’ll see what I can do to make them more prominent
What a great site. All this and five kids! Impressive, to say the least.

I am sooo glad I came across this site! I am new to couponing and I have been reading all kinds of blogs/articles/websites about couponing in the last few days. It is so hard to figure out what is the best way to get started, but after reading your site, I am feeling much better about it. I plan on using your site on a regular basis for tips. I am so glad everything is in one place. It makes learning how to coupon much easier and less stressful.
I didn’t know where else to put this, but I wanted to tell you about my mailbox find today!! Brookshires has Pictsweet veggies on sale this week and my hubby told me about it early since he works there. I couldn’t find any coupons anywhere so on Saturday I wrote to them on their website and said I wanted to try their products, but couldn’t find a coupon. They responded so fast and wrote a letter on Monday and I got it today…with TWO FREE PRODUCT COUPONS!!!! I’m thinking of saving them until after the sale since the veggies are only $1 right now…and they don’t expire until 12/31/11.
That’s a great idea Janet! I always like to hold onto my free product coupons and use them when I need to reach a number, like if I have a $5/$30 and I’m trying to hit $30
your kids are too cute! i found you on twitter. happy summer
I’m a new couponer! I love your site! I will share this everyone I know. Times r tough & we r all trying to save money.
