What do you think about sav A Lot? I love it, but my store does not accept coupons? What’s up?
i live in cleveland and sav-a-lot and aldi accept coupons
I live in Hernando County, Florida, and my Save-A-Lot does take coupons. The problem, however, is that most of their stuff is ‘their’ brand so you only get a chance to use a couple of manufacturer coupons here and there depending if they have that specific name brand product at the time. I am just getting started in the whole couponing thing. So, right now I mostly shop at Save-A-Lot because I’m still spending less on food by going there versus Publix or Winn-Dixie. I’m hoping to be able to figure out how using coupons will hopefully work for my family because no grocery stores near me doubles or triples coupons. It would be fantastic if I could get more food at Publix or Winn-Dixie, but for the price I pay at Save-A-Lot! I don’t mind Save-A-Lot’s food. The only problem is I have two people in my family that are diabetic and Save-A-Lot does not carry food tailored towards diabetes. A lot of their food has way too much sodium in it. You are very limited by their selection.
Annette,
I used to shop at Wal-mart (Pasco County) and buy generic, but now I shop at Publix and get incredible deals – full shopping cart for $15! A couple of weeks ago $140 worth for $40. Look at the book Christi the Coupon Coach – Couponing Made Simple at Amazon. It is a step by step plan for reasonable (not extreme)couponing that is easy. I know people who read it and saved 70% on their 1st shopping trip! Good luck & keep with it…couponing is really worth it.
I love safe alot simply for their ads, I’ll take them to walmart or target and get them to price match an item that save a-lot is advertising and then i will stack on a manufacturer coupon…
That is all save-a-lot is good for in my opinion around here in Georgia, because everything is always out of stock when i go in…
I’m in Indiana and they just built our second one in the same town. Now all the prices jumped up. I have been couponing for awhile but just lately been really trying to get bigger savings (would love to be extreme couponer).
I am disabled so on limited budget for myself and child, I just want a month without being broke at the last week.
Here Sav-a-lot is not the best place to shop. Better bargains at Krogers plus can use more coupons there, and get the gas discount too.
