We go through juice like crazy here so I probably should have bought more of the Cran-Grape juice, but I’m trying really hard to stay below $100 this month for the Boost Your Budget Pantry Challenge and I’m trying to keep our spending to a minimum. Wow! Can you believe I walked out of the store with all this PLUS a $50 gas card and only paid $47.20? That means all of the groceries were free and I got a $2.80 discount on my gas – whoohoo!! Whoohoo! I may have redeemed myself a little bit today I’ve just started the Boost Your Budget Pantry Challenge for January, then I went and “blew” $30 of my $100 goal at CVS and Walgreens on Monday so I’ve REALLY got to tighten up for the rest of the month. I actually wouldn’t have bought this much stuff today except I had a $5/$55 Winn Dixie catalina that I couldn’t stand to waste so I had to reach $55 (after sale prices but before coupons) in order to use it. I’m loving that there is a new Publix store closer to my house and that they’re never very busy when I’m there, but they’ve been open almost a month and they’re still not real organized yet. This morning when I got there (a couple hours after they opened) they still had last week’s sale flyer out on the carousel, the B1G1 bins were completely empty and only two of the sale items that I bought were marked as being on sale. I’m sure they’ll get their stuff together soon though and I do plan to continue shopping there In addition to the sale items I bought today, I used some free item coupons for the Healthy Choice, Marie Callendar’s, Dole canned and frozen fruit, and the Michael Angelo’s entree because they’re all expiring at the end of the month and I don’t plan to shop next Wednesday since there won’t be a new ad out. This was a terrific week at Publix because I had a bunch of Register Rewards left from Black Friday shopping, plus I had a $5/$55 Winn Dixie catalina and a $10/$50 gas card coupon from last week’s Publix ad that didn’t expire until today.
